Early design for one of the main characters, Cooper. Conceptually based off of the real-world Philae probe that was sent to land and collect data on the 67/P Comet.
The main physical actor for Cooper will be a pre-programmed robot with a constructed shell over top. These are some early shell designs.

Various illustrations and concept sketches I created for an upcoming video opera, Cosmic Cowboy, being produced by White Snake Productions. http://www.whitesnakeprojects.org/projects/cosmic-cowboy/ (All IP Copyright Cerise Jacobs.)
Working in a team of about 20 artists, we developed concept art for characters, environments, and various props. Cosmic Cowboy will be a fully staged opera with a backdrop of 3D animation acting as enhanced digital doubles.
My team's challenge was to create analogous designs for the physical actors/actresses and stage as well as for the 3D animated sequences.
